I did this walk a couple of months ago now but I thought I,d do a wee report, I can,t remember the exact date but I do remember it was unusualy sunny after the wet summer. After a weeks holiday camping in Aberfoyle and walking the Highland boundary fault I decided to go back up and have a wee jaunt up Ben A,an.I arrived at the bottom of the hill at 7.20 so escaped the worst of the heat and most of the midges as long as I kept moving lol Thouroughly enjoyed it, really good views as it says in the WH description. cheers

The woods on the route are the most moss covered I,ve ever seen, almost prehistoric

Love the shot of your dog trying to catch the midges! Ben A'an is a great hill, the views are quite spectacular.

McLeod, I like those photographs :) , as you say those woods are something else, in fact one of your photographs doesn't look like Scotland the trees are so close together. Not done this hill, maybe one for the future though.
