On Tinto a few days ago, looking out, realised its years since I've been on the Lowther hills, last time was circuit from Overfingland.
So got bus from Lanark to Wanlockhead, up to Lowther, over tops to Lousie Wood Law over Elvan Water & local road, up Harryburn Brae, down across M74 & Crawford for bus back to Lanark ( anyone knows story behind these hillnames let us know).
It was another great day for walking sun & frost cold & clear - most difficult part of the day was crossing the M74 - windfarms all over...
