2 corbetts from Spean Bridge

We stayed in the Lomond Mountaineering Clubs hut in Onich on Friday night. Nice wee hut with electricity and a loo. Two small vinos were required to help me have a good nights sleep. There were lots of noises and lots of smells going on in that hut with four guys being in it. Saturday seen us heading to Spean Bridge. Headed down the road signposted for Corriechoille and parked just before the start of the forest and before the large deer gate.
Headed through the deer gate and followed the good track through the forest and over the bridge at the Allt Leachdach.
A short distance after the bridge we picked up a small faint path and headed east to pick up the ridge of Cruach Innse. Headed south east along the ridge and reached the summit in 1hour and 35 minutes.
It was extremely cold so we took a quick summit picture (much to Richards annoyance - he doesn’t get the summit pic bit and headed off!
The next target corbett was difficult to see from the summit of Cruach Innse
We took a bearing and headed south west towards Sgurr Innse. Headed too far west and ended up in a boulder field covered in deep snow. Visibility was very poor and decided to head east and made our way down to the bealach at 605 m. Just before the rise to Sgurr Innse we stopped for lunch and to refuel.
Headed south east up to the summit of Sgurr Innse. A tiny bit of easy scrambling was required in one or two occasions.
Reached the summit in 3hours. Another quick summit picture and headed back down to the bealach. Once at the bealach we headed west and picked up the good track back to the car.
Back to car in 4 hours and 50 minutes.
Headed to Fort William swimming pool for a nice sauna and steamroom to freshen up before heading back to the hut
