Me,Alan s and Springer. Alan s decided on doing the drumochter hills as the weather was to be best in this area . as we approached drumochter it wasnt what we expected although we did pack the ice axes anyway  . we parked at layby 88 on A9 and geared up. we walked back a short distance and went through the gate at the balfour beattie entrance folowing the good track all the way to top pretty much. if there wasnt as much snow i would imagine these hills being pretty boggy and boring. going to A'bhuidheanach beag first as Alan s had already done Carn na Caim. there was snow storms swirling all around us all day but luckily we stayed free of any whiteouts etc. there is good tracks all the way and metal fence posts as guides along most parts especially along Carn na Caim. great fun was had catching up with the guys telling old stories and a few laughs playing in the snow,a great day out and back to moulin inn for a bite to eat and a pint .

Good stuff JB and not a bad day for it  - can remember thinking that it could be possible to take a bike all the way up but probably not a good idea in all that snow  - cheers :)

That is a surprising amount of snow. Looks like you two had a good day anyway :) .

Ben Chonzie seems to have had a bad press lately for being the most boring Munro. I've always thought of these two hills as being fairly dull but I have to say they look a lot better with snow on them!!!!!!!!

Good day out there. Did these two, albeit the other way round, last Winter in similar conditions, though we did cop a few snow flurries along the way. Significant accumulations in the col below Carn na Caim.

Useful report as hoping to do these soon and have deliberately saved them for winter on grounds of being less dull. Not one for clag though
