Another Munro Climbed

Hardest thing I have ever done in my life.

Never climbed in the snow before and I have to admit that, although not totally useless, my footwear was not ideal for this.

Very windy, slippy underfoot and I was sure I was going to break something.

The last hour on the way up, and the first hour on the way down (mostly flat out in the snow) were very unpleasant indeed.

Made it down just before it got dark with soaking wet feet and sore legs. :(

Swore never to do a snowy climb again.

Now that I am two days recovered. I've changed my mind. It was great fun and I can't wait to do it again.

Are we all this mad? :D

Sounds like a bit of an ordeal David, but you survived which is the main thing. It also sounds like the next one might make you more prepared now you know what to expect to some degree.

Which Munro was it?

I knew it was Sgiath Chuil but with no mention of the name I couldn't understand how I knew that with it not being one I've done.

Well done on doing it in the snow!
