Men in Black II - Except one was a wuman.

Parked at Bridgend, 2minutes before the town of Carsphairn. Passed the house and through the gate. Good track all the way. Although today is was covered in ice and extremely difficult to walk on. :(
Carried on along the track passing two farm buildings and through two gates. It would be an easy cycle along this track.

Just north of Dunool left the track and headed up towards the bealach between Black Shoulder and Dunool.

wee DB

Here we picked up the wall and followed this north. The wall stops and a new fence continues The new fence veers east. There are supposed to be old fence posts heading to the summit but these were covered in snow. We left the new fence posts and headed north up to the trig point at 797.

Quick summit picture and took a bearing and headed south west following a wall down to pick up the track back to Bridgend.

The last i seen of DB until i got to the bottom. He dashed off from the summit...he must of wanted a go at leading!

Glad to navigate you through the torrid conditions MT :)

Nice to see you finally acknowledging the difference between a new and old fencepost - a rookie mistake

Oooooft Theresa that looked rather chilly

I'll be honest, I didn't have a clue where this hill was :?
But now that I do I might give it a wee go (in the summer) 8)

Is that the Borders then? Can hardly believe these artic conditions. Nearly everyone on the site is posting pictures of the hills knee deep in snow but we haven't had any in Edinburgh, in fact today it was nice and sunny :eh:

Well done on a nice walk, might give it a go in the summer too :D

Fine report MT, you looked to have a good covering of snow there and some deep drifts if that shot of DB up to his nuts is anything to go by  Shame you were robbed of any summit views but a fine day out in good company all the same
