A fine place to wander about in, and to photograph- as you have done brilliantly 8) Cheers.

Another report with some excellent photos, thanks for sharing.

Looking at it on my phone at the moment. Will check it out again later on the big screen. :-)

Stunning!!! That first sunrise picture - the clouds make it look like you're just below the roof of the world. Amazing!

Oh, well, thank you guys for all the kind replies. It's not much of a report, this. In fact, it was never meant to be up on the public forum. I just forgot to tick off the box while uploading :)

Carn Eige's is not an easy circuit, especially in wintry conditions. The weather was good, though, both for walking and photography, with winds low, snow compact and the lights fantastic all day long :)

I can only echo what everyone else has said about the excellent pictures. But I'd just like to add that you must have had less than 7 hours between sunrise and sunset. So very well done for managing a 10.25 hour walk in that lonely place on that snowy terrain.

@ simon-b
thank you. Yes, I started walking at 6.40am and used a headtorch for 40min or so, then some dim light started coming through and I carried on without artificial light. Never bothered to put it back on while walking out and got to the car at 16:55.
Incidentally, it was great to be able to see clear, starry pre-dawn sky, shooting stars included! :D
