Got to the parking area it was a sheet of ice we were sliding about getting our gear on plus the track was the same in most place's to.. walked for a couple klicks and got to the river no chance of crossing it here to deep and almost frozen over so we just keep't walking up the A'llt a'Chaoruinn to find a bit to cross it was'nt looking to good but finally got a bit to cross
DSC03731.JPG
where we crossed
over we went and up along the woods the snow was not to deep but it was slushy no path to follow so just went straight up as best we could clag came in at about 550 mtrs and stayed with us to the summit.. the snow was getting firmer as we got higher and the clag got thicker as well when we got to the summit we didn't hang about quick picture and away back down the way we went up.. back to the woods where we had our first lunch stop and only lunch stop.
Back down the track to the car and home had a good day with Dawn good banter and a good laugh all round.

A nice wee tale as always Quoman, personally I find getting the 'grits' for a day before hiking makes for a good clear out and less weight to carry on the day  .................

Yeah, why was that? Did you put a bloody rock in it after we danced on the river.... charming
And that was with minimal gear... Maybe my ice axe is heavier than yours as its an older one.
