Supposedly 8th Munroe but failed! Intended to climb Stuc A Chroin via Ben Each from Loch Lubnaig but annoyingly got lost in fog and walked 30 mins in wrong direction at top of Ben Each. I got confused as I still have not invested in a map and compass so was trying to wing it as usual using the walk report which is great but I struggle with it when there’s heavy fog due to having no nav skills yet so before anyone says it yes it was my own fault.
However I was given wrong directions from a bloke on his way down from Ben each. I think I might have made it otherwise. If it was not so foggy at top I think I would have known where to go but there is no clear path to Chroin up there so I had a bit of a nightmare. Never mind. Next time I will miss Ben Each, carry along the forestry path for longer and cut up Stuc a Chroin to make it faster. Great views of it from Ben each when the fog cleared though. Still enjoyed my walk as always.

Done this walk back in October and was really lucky with the weather, went back again about 4 weeks later with my mate who fancied doing it and got to top of Ben Each and couldn't see 50m in front of us, so like you we done the wise thing and headed off the hill as I knew there were one or two unexpected steep drops along the route, but if you do get the good weather it is really is an enjoyable walk.
