8th Munro- Ben Vorlich. What a fantastic day. Amazing to think its December. Not a cloud in the sky over the Ben all day. Only had to don the jacket and gloves 100ft from the top as it did get a bit chilly but overall a fab day for hiking. Met a top bloke at Inveruglas before I set off so we ended up doing the climb together which is a first for me as I usually hike solo.

It was great to have a bit of company for a change and I think I have made a new pal as we had a lot in common so intend to met up again for similar climbs. Took in a few scrambles on the way up as well for good measure which were great fun. Shame about the pylons and power station up there before the dam on the return route but I suppose they have to put it somewhere right? Another top day, another Munro for the bag. Bring on February when I return for Ben Vane!
