Alwright fellow hillwalkers, it's been a while since I've been aloud oot to play through either work commitments the kids or the weather.Myself and Donny decided to do a wee easy one to brake us back in we headed for Meall Buidhe up at Glen Lyon.We set of at 6am from Glasgow in the dark I'll no lie I was getting a bit tired going through the Ben Lawyers range and that's the bit you don't want to get tired at.I've read on a couple of reports how easy it is to miss the turning off to go down to loch Dhamm but Donny kept me right. we got there 8.30am and had a coffee and set of at 9.A wee trudge up and before you know it we were almost there. There was a couple of boggy bits still a bit of snow and ice but as we got to the first cairn the real obsticale became the wind it said on the mwis that it would get up to 50mph but it seemed a lot stronger than that a quick drink and we started heading back.We bumped into a couple of guy's on the way down just a casual nod to each other and heid down and get on way it,as we got further down the wind subsided we got to the muddy bog again and didn't know wether to take the high or low path we opted for low and just carried on it took us a wee bit away from were we came up but we contoured round and seen the car and two figures on the way down when we got down to the car it was the two lads we'd passed on the way down we asked how they got down so fast they said they just went straight down maybe the high path was a better option.Back at the car for 11.30 and a 2h30mins drive home like I say first one of the year hopefully a lot more to come.
