On a misty morning in Perth we decided to trust the weather forecast and head off to the Dalmunzie Hotel for a few munros. After parking at the hotel and treking off into the glen for Glas Tulaichean we quickly got above the cloud and were treated to a gorgeous cloud inversion! Bright blue skies kept us company the rest of the day and was too hot for a fleece at one point so we stripped down to just a tshirt....as we trekked through the snow!

The first peak was easy enough to get to following the huge path. We saw little sign of (human) life all day but here we did see one person ahead of us and a landrover on the track as we looked back. Great views into the Cairngorms from here on this clear day and also Beinn a Ghlo was looking great! To get to Carn an Righ we struck slightly East before heading straight down the slopes to the path leading back West. Climbing the slopes we heard the roar of three jets heading in the direction of Glen Tilt. Strange after the many hours of silence we'd just experienced. Hunger really took us as we got to the top and the break time was a welcome treat. From this top we looked over to Glas Tulaichean and spotted many other walkers who must've left later then us and were currently summiting. There must've been about 8/10 including a party of 6! Busy day on that peak, glad we had the one we were on all to ourselves!

After our lunch stop we headed back to the path and from here slogged to the loch which was beautiful in the spring afternoon sun. Plenty of birds about and a group of wild deer on the Northern slopes too. From here all that was left was the walk down Glen Taitneach to the hotel. Lovely waterfalls at the head of the glen but we were very tired at the end of it due to the long nature of the day. Crossed the bridge to the West side of the burn about 1km from the hotel. Bridge is in good condition.

The hotel was lovely and we had an irn bru/cider and some nuts in the bar before heading home. A great day but very tired legs at the end of it all.
