The plan had been to hit the Grey Corries today but work had taken it's toll with some long days and yours truly slept through all alarms and bashing off the door undisturbed... So by the time I awoke there wasn't long enough in the day given travel time so a shorter walk was called for... No matter, I was itching to get out and leave some of the stress of work behind and Scraggles has plenty left, so helping his cause meant a short walk in Glencoe taking in two munros would add to his tally and provide a good loosener and hill time for me...

The weather was gorgeous, and a good staircase ascends to the beallach between Stob Dubh and Stob Coire Raineach...

We decided to tackle Stob Coire Raineach first leaving the more appealing ridge of Stob Dubh to finish the walk... It's a short ascent from the beallach and in no time we were at the summit...

We spend a long time at the summit just absorbing the views... There's not a breath of wind and it's not too cold...

We make short work of the descent having added crampons for a bit more security on the descent in the hard packed snow which is firm underfoot...

And then it's off to the Chlachaig for some refreshments before travelling up to Fort William; our base for the night...
