It was a perfect day in Knoydart, wasn't it? :D :D :D
We had Gleouriach & Spidean in mind originally, but ended up further along the road, not that I regret it  Hopefully this nice spell of weather stays with us for a few more days, we have holidays booked next week!
We must have driven past you on the way back, as you suggested, it was getting dark already when we set on the way home.

Great stuff rockhopper. Difficult to chose a favourite out of your excellent photos, but that blood red sky/cloud sunset did it for me :D

Atmospheric, moody and staggeringly impressive photography.

You've definitley pushed this area up towards the top of my "to do" list.

Thanks everyone - think I'm starting to get choosier about the weather (or probably more likely just luckier the last few times  ) - cheers :)

yup - there were quite a few sections with steps in the snow which was probably a lot more compact than last week...maybe I was following in your footsteps 8)

yup, think I was standing beside my car when you passed so wasn't far behind you - certainly a great day up there :D

Oh I think this might be one of the best series of photos in a report I've seen so far!! It's ALL so stunning! I loved the look of these hills when I saw them from the south shiel ridge lqst summer. The colors are so different now, though! Then they were glistening in the sun (lots of quartz?). I love the deep brown off set by whiteness of the snow that you get in winter. I've never seen that in real life so thanks for sharing.

Some great pictures there. Sounds like a long walk for a winter's day though. I climbed these hills in summer over two days about sixteen years ago i.e. when I had a lot more energy and I found that fairly demanding though the paths are pretty good.
