Started out in fog today, but weather soon cleared :D Parked at Laggan Locks, crossed over from here:

Then a quick cycle to the post at the start of the forestry track:

This was fairly steep initially, but height gained quickly. Out of the trees:

Back down:

Bealach soon came into view. Gets a bit icy on the path further up:
Image

From the bealach, zig zag path up a grassy hill to Sron a'Choire Ghairbh:

Cairn, looking over to windfarm:

North, Kintail:

West, towards Knoydart:

Next hill, Meall na Teanga, looks a bit more interesting, Ben Nevis in background:

Back down to the icy bealach:

Path goes around Meall Dubh to Meall na Teanga:

Snow was firm but deep footsteps had been left from when it was soft, so could use these as steps. Towards the top:

Meall Coire Lochain:

Loch Lochy, at the back of the queue when they were handing out loch names:

Gulvain, Sgurr Thuilm direction:

West:

Kintail:

Zig Zag path up Sron a'Choire Ghairbh:

More pics on the way back to the bealach:

And back down to the trees:

There were a couple of bikes left at the bealach now, so it's obviously possible - not for me though  Back down the path then an easy coast back to the car :D

Hi Gman, looking to do those 2 hills soon and just wondering how much time you would save by talking the bike. Cheers.

It's about 4.5km on the bike from the locks & took 30min out + 20 min back, probably saved about an hour.
