First Winter Munro for the kids

For Mark and Daniel Smith's last munro a group of friends, family and Scottish Hillwalking Meetup Group folk gathered in Glen Lyon. The fog cleared through Killin, and a few Kwells tablets and a couple of stops on the mad drive from Glasgow, and we were ready
It was spectacularly beautiful.
Loch an Diamh was frozen right across
Josh soon headed to the front out of the way of pesky parents, and as expected Daniel soon caught us all up having already bagged Stuchd an Lochan.
At the half way stop, a good chance for an illicit clamber up the rocks
and a bit of food
We enjoyed seeing the incredible ice feathers
Then up the easy slopes and to the plateau where the target was in sight
Josh says 'I really wanted to get there first'
Achievement awards all round, including Finlay who was just 4 years old, all the amazing Smith supporters including Daniel's gran and mum, for some folk their first ever munro
The views were stunning
An amazing end to Mark and Daniel's odyssey and just the beginning of one for some others
