Eyeing these up for saturday as the Monadh Liath seems to be getting the best of the weather as far as i can make out. Hoping to put in an overnight camp too although baulking a bit at the forecast temperature drop on saturday night - and in fear of being shot by over zealous estate people if BassCadet's report on camping in this area is anything to go by

Thanks WM. Glad to see you enjoyed your overnighter and zealous estate workers left you alone :D

ChrisW wrote:Fine report/reports as always Pete with some lovely photos along the way, I'm sure you'll be back to enjoy the long wander along the plateau

Thanks Chris. If there's ever a drought then I'll be back. A crisp winters day would also be ideal as this looks great walking on hard compacted snow :D

Thanks alvason. I take plenty of photos on all my trips (probably explains why I'm so slow  ) but it's a part of the experience I really enjoy. A great to look back on too :D

Thanks dogplodder. Sometimes the cloud can add atmosphere to the pictures, even if it ultimately scuppered my plans first time round. Second trip and the sun just set the snow off perfectly :D
