railton22 has beaten me to the first report for this route, which like him I (partially) combined with the Farleitter Crags walk (see separate report). The walk statistics / route map only reflect the part of the walk before we diverted off up the crag.

Although only walked a couple of days before railton22 & co., we missed the snow. A very pretty little circuit which really is better than the map suggests. Plenty of things to see, some interesting boardwalk sections which both help avoid getting muddy boots and are fun to follow in a sort of childish way.

Across one of the lochs

At the southernmost tip of the route drawn above (not visited in the walkhighlands walk) there's a hide which looks out over the lake, complete with an information board explaining how the local lakes, crags and nearby erratics came to be. Farleitter Crag (for the continuation onto the longer circuit) is easily seen over the rushes from the other side of the lochs.

Discovered Uath whilst on holiday on Speyside last summer. A great wee ramble and fine picnic spot.
