I did this walk last month however finally got a wee bit of time to write it up today! Set off around 6:30am for the drive north up the a9 with my girlfriend and got to the start point shortly after 8:15am, kitted and booted and ready to go by 8:30am with the clouds covering the tops of the hills but some very promising gaps in the clouds
A nice easy ascent up the first hill with signs of snowboarders and skiers having been down recently...looked like it would be good fun!
Definitely a good walk for winter, the hills and surrounding hills looked amazing in the snow! Don't think I'd fancy the same trek on a wet boggy day though!
Hopefully the pictures do the views justice, they were pretty incredible ...finished the day passing under the railway bridge and walking back to the cottages...a long and sore walk on tarmac in the scarpa mantas but only took about 40 mins
