I did this walk last month however finally got a wee bit of time to write it up today! Set off around 6:30am for the drive north up the a9 with my girlfriend and got to the start point shortly after 8:15am, kitted and booted and ready to go by 8:30am with the clouds covering the tops of the hills but some very promising gaps in the clouds :D
A nice easy ascent up the first hill with signs of snowboarders and skiers having been down recently...looked like it would be good fun!
Definitely a good walk for winter, the hills and surrounding hills looked amazing in the snow! Don't think I'd fancy the same trek on a wet boggy day though!
Hopefully the pictures do the views justice, they were pretty incredible :D ...finished the day passing under the railway bridge and walking back to the cottages...a long and sore walk on tarmac in the scarpa mantas but only took about 40 mins
