That looks like quite an exciting couple of days - certainly makes my camp out seem quite unadventurous!

I think the lines on the hillside are a rather poor attempt at drainage and improving the grazing (poor because every time I have come across them, the ground still seems to be sopping).

Well done mrssanta on a well deserved win. :D

I read your report before but hadn't got round to commenting. Having two of my own I was so impressed by your daughter's resilience - well done her!

Wonderful Mrs S, so good to see a family out there enjoying the hills...though that camping lark in those temps is a bit of a stretch  Some beautiful photos as always...the icicles are great and I love the shot of the mugs in the snow

Congratulations on winning WRoftheM :D Well deserved :D

I've been a way for a week without internet, so originally read your report on my phone. Didn't really do it justice, so have now been able to repeat the read on my pc in order to get the full benefit of your photos. A great couple of days you and yours had on the hills :D

Achaladair was my first experience of crampons (coming down that steep drop  ), so has particularly special memories for me :D Always enjoy a report involving these two Munros :D

I think your horizontal lines are hill drains cutting across the contours to catch the water?
What a great trip though!
