well done - wish I'd seen them as well. He explained that they only need to climb up a few hundred feet (good job given the weight) then they ride the thermals to gain height sometimes to 6,000ft and can end up far from where they started :shock:

What a fantastic couple of days RH, such stunning photos too :clap: love the first trig shot and the self portrait later, but all of the shots hold the attention and leave me wishing....

Good on ya for picking up the hitcher, not many do nowadays particularly when they have bulky luggage :roll: I'll bet that was an interesting discussion.

Great read, really enjoyed it :clap:

Fantasic stuff there RH... when i did Ben hope i camped at the Broch as the bridge was getting renewed and could'nt driver over it..

Nice pics RH. Loved this area. Think it was the only time i had a bit of luxury doing the munros... we stayed in the Altnaharra Hotel :D Hoping to head back there soon

Great pictures, heading up there on Sat and hoping to Ben More and Ben Hope! I guess the snow will be gone (almost unfortunately though it should make for quicker ascents) , but I expect great views!
