Finally… a day off work and I’m free to get back on the hills. It’s been a couple of weeks since I was last out and I’ve been itching to get back out ever since. I had also bought a new camera I have been dying to try out.

Luckily for me the Forecast on MWIS looked good. The best I’ve seen it in a while actually…
10 – 15mph winds, dry and greater than 90% chance of cloud free munros on the West highlands. I’ll take that!

I decided to go for Beinn Ime, my final Munro of the Arrochar Alps. I would start from Butterbridge as I didn’t fancy the zig zag path again. As soon as I Arrived in Arrochar the first thing I noticed was the
spectacular view of the Cobbler.
I pulled into the car park at the Arrochar hotel to take some photos. To be honest I don’t think the photos do the view much justice.

I set off from the car about 0930 with the sun just rising above Ime. Quickly got my gear on and set off....

Panoramic shot. Left to right..... Narnain, The Cobbler, The Brack, Ben Donich and Beinn Luibhean I think?

I made a quick video. Its not the best, but im still trying to get the hang of the GoPro.
(best viewed on the highest quality setting)

Getting back to the car I had to stop for another photo. Brilliant view

Great pics mate! and love the pics and vid - the wee go pro looks V Impressive! Sam and I might do this on Sunday - you reckon we'd get away with spikes rather than full crampons?

Not a problem if we do ed them but happy to start going a bit lighter ;-)

Route looks a good one, like you I'd rather avoid the usual walk in

The ascent looks quite steep - pretty straightforward? Or a bit hairy scary (for Sam...)

Thanks mate! id recommend it, its a great walk.

I would still take your crampons. They are a must for the descent.

The ascent isn't too bad, looks a lot worse than it actually is. You will enjoy it
