Took a chance to climb these two Corbetts as we knew there would be a good chance of snow on their north sides, the sides we would be climbing them by. Reason we gambled was Jimmy and Mo have no winter gear and Mo is not comfortable walking with snow on the hills, so we set off to see how things would go. Alan had recently got himself a pair of spikes and was desperate to try them out and it wasn't long till he got them on. We left the track to climb Cruach Innse and so far so good. We then reached snow, which was soft just like Jimmy and Mo. Then we came to hard snow, like The Pathfinder and i. Mo quite rightly said she was going no further and Jimmy agreed to turn back. After a wee discussion it was decided myself and The Pathfinder would continue after we donned our spikes and crampons and would phone from the first summit reference continueing to no.2. As J&M returned we climbed steeply to the plateaux and once up were able to get the spikes and crampons off. We would not require them for the rest of the walk. After phoning Jimmy from the summit he told us to continue and they would await our return at the car. From Cruach Innse there is a path that leads down through the crags to the 593m point and again another path leading to Sgurr Innse. We had a little bit of scrambling on our way up and although there was snow it was soft enough not to require crampons. On our return we took a more direct route to the main path rather than head back to the 593 point and from here back to Jimmy and Mo.
