Aye, as we said on Saturday it wasn't a hard decision. I didn't fancy those cliffs on the east side especially having seen the cornice on the way up. With visibility as poor as it was the stakes were just too high if i'd got it wrong. Even coming back down i was effectively walking blind on a compass bearing which was a little unsettling on that sort of terrain. I had to assume that, at best, the conditions weren't going to improve.
The narrow part of the ridge between Sgurr nan Conbhairean and Drochaid an Tuill Easaich was a bit hairy aswell without crampons, had to take my time on that part
