dread thinking about doing the 3rd with Ceasar and Rottiewalker the pain in me legs

Aye, as we said on Saturday it wasn't a hard decision. I didn't fancy those cliffs on the east side especially having seen the cornice on the way up. With visibility as poor as it was the stakes were just too high if i'd got it wrong. Even coming back down i was effectively walking blind on a compass bearing which was a little unsettling on that sort of terrain. I had to assume that, at best, the conditions weren't going to improve.

The narrow part of the ridge between Sgurr nan Conbhairean and Drochaid an Tuill Easaich was a bit hairy aswell without crampons, had to take my time on that part

Well done on completing your round, GLW, when it looked like you might have to turn back at one point. That cornice must have been a bit scary. I've seen a few footprints looking a bit too close to cornices for comfort in the Lake District this year.

Enjoyed that especially your description of the clagmeisters. You're fairly getting through these Munros this year, before you know it you'll be done.

well done guys, a bit of a challenge with the weather and liked how it didn`t turn out to be a job for the MRT

We bailed out of the third summit in whiteout conditions one winter years ago. Eventually bagged it from a wild camp in Glen Affric on a clear summer's day and saw a sea eagle on the way down. A great day's walk, which I'd probably have never done if I hadn't saved it for later.
