The other half decided she would like to do some shopping in Aberdeen :( , not for me but I could go for a wee jaunt up Bennachie from the forest car park :D , as long as i was back by 4pm to pick her up  .
All the time I have driven along the A96 and saw this fine hill it was about time I climbed it. £2 for the car parking :( , just as well I had coins in my pocket.
The walk starts through the forest but you soon come into the open hill side, and fine views open up towards the NE , underfoot conditions was snowy and icy as the climb got higher. Lots of walkers out and quite a few not dressed for the biting East wind, some of them children  even some wearing trainers. A really nice walk but I would imagine some of the paths would have been very muddy if it were raining.

it's always good to have a walk round Bennachie :) There's a free car park at Donview at the bottom of millstone hill if you're in the area again
