Decided last night, as it was going to be nice today to head over the river and complete another Luss Graham , only 5 more to go
Pitched up at the park spot just off the Loch Lomond - Faslane Haul road and being half 7 I was the first car there.
I'd already planned my route, with a "might tackle Beinn A'Mhanaich" included but when I put my route into my GPS it showed "Glen Fruin - Glen Luss path" & "Path to Chaorach" which don't appear on my Explorer map, so when I got to the other side of the resevoir I went for a wee look, alas, no paths or none that I could see anyway that were particularly obvious, so I went back to start my climb from the route I had planned in.
I was quite surprised at what a slog it was to get up, took me far longer than what I'd thought, although to be fair a sub 2000 has me blowing out my arse.. Made it to the top and what a cracking view plus it allowed me to survey a potentially good ridge walk around Glen Finlas or down into Glen Luss. After taking a wee breather I followed the fence line down into the Glen floor following a faint path.
I looked at the route up to Beinn A'Mhanaich but decided against it as I have a date tonight
so it can wait but The Strone is a good walk.
I've just disovered this Facebook photo link thing so going to see if it works, if it does feel free to leave any comments, according to Facebook you don't need an account to view them
