An Epic Day indeed
Some cracking weather in Edinburgh on a Saturday found us looking to see the best of what Edinburgh has to offer whilst not just wandering up and down the Royal Mile
We started at the cafe in Valvona and Crolla for an amazing breakfast followed by a wander around teh deli picking up supplies for the day's walk
We then wandered along the Royal Terrace and then up onto Carlton Hill for some great 360 views of Edinburgh and surrounds...clear as a bell! (I'll try to remember to add some photos here)...we used the Carlton hill Walkhighlands walk as a guide http://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/lothian/calton-hill.shtml
We then wandered down to Waterloo place, checking out the old Carlton Burial ground then along Princes St to do the Stockbridge and Botanical gardens walk. http://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/lothian/stockbridge-botanic-gardens.shtml
We stopped in Stockbridge for a light lunch before exploring continuing the walk through the amazing gardens and catching some local cricket. When we came back through Stockbridge, we then turned right and started the Dean Village and Museum of Modern Art walk in reverse http://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/lothian/dean-village.shtml
A beautiful wader along the water and to teh Museums for a look around before heading back to our accommodation near the West End
Some great walks and a great view of Edinburgh!
