Fantastic descriptive report with some superb photo's in what can only be described as testing conditions, which considering the cloud & rain make them even more impressive Very reluctant to get my camera out of the rucksack in the rain, means stopping, taking off gloves etc

All the best plans in the world can be seriously affected by the good old Scottish weather, nothing worse than water sloshing round in ones boots

Watching the forecast closely as hoping to head that way on Sunday to conquer the Brothers

Many thanks Fife Flyer. But this trip report was last years tour in 2013. This year the weather was better by scottish standards. It was at least 5 to 10 degrees warmer and it had less rain.

A brilliant read yet again. Probably just as well you only venture to Scotland once per year, imagine the time spent on trip reports otherwise

Haha Youre so right. The missus and the children wouldn't be too excited if I would spent the 2-3 evenings it usually takes to compile a TR more than once a year.

This area is another favourite of mine, the Kintail Lodge is a great pub with decent food.Cheers.

The Kintail lodge was heaven. After the 5 days it was so great to have a decent beer and really good food. Could have eaten a second course but then this is not McDonalds and prices are a bit higher than in Germany.
