This was day 2 of a long weekend trip, yesterday seen us breaking our Skye duck on Blaven but with no luck with the summit views there we hoped Saturday would be a different story.Braw morning as myself,Kev ,Gav,Ian,Chris and Jake the dug set off from the outdoor centre at Morvich towards Gleann Choinneachain and up the stalkers path which evetually splits after some big ziggy zags, right for Beinn Fhada or left for A Ghlas -beinn.

Beinn Fhada first so upwards again towards Coire Gorm,a great quiet spot this so we had a breather before heading up more zig zags.

Gleann Lichd,hostel down there somewhere

The ground levels a bit for the last km to Beinn Fhada, what a viewpoint ,sat and looked at the hills we still had to do,Affrics and the Ceathreamhnan groups and cast our minds back to our adventures on the Sisters ,Brothers etc, magic

Gavin admires the very fine views from Beinn Fhada
Skye,Kintail trip 091.JPG
Decided the best way to A Ghlas-beinn would be to re-trace our steps to the split in the path, descending from Meall a'Bhealaich looked steep so took the safe option,Kev also decided he'd had plenty for the day and he could head back down from here to the car park.About 100m of ascent sees you to the high point of the Bealach,a great viewpoint this down Gleann Lichd towards the Alltbeithe hostel.

Loch a' Bhealaich
We start climbing toward A Ghlas beinn and the weather takes a turn for the worse, waterproofs on as it pours down for about 40 minutes,so no views from to top today :(

top of a rather damp A Ghlas-beinn
No hanging around either and we set off towards A'Mhuic for the steepish grassy descent towards the forest track.

better now, views down to Loch Duich

Loch Duich again
It's a pleasant stroll from here back to the centre and we reach the cars in around 8 and a half hours(for the whole walk, not the stroll along the forest track  ),back to the Kintail Lodge Hotel for a swift ale and to set plans in motion for day 3 of our trip.

Loch Duich yet again,in the evening
