Can't remember the date of the last time I went up the dumpling. Being a local person, and being a tiddly walk I've been up many many times. It used to be a great favourite when the kids were wee - a trip up the dumpling and then to the Gartocharn hotel for Sunday lunch. Happy Days!

I think I am right in what i am saying, that the Legion that was Tom(Our Tam)Weir use to walk up the Dumpling every morning. He stayed in a house in the Village next to the School. Or was that a local myth
