The 1st walk without Kath was always going to be the hardest,the rest will get easier but you will never forget her and she will always be there with you with every walk you take.

Thanks Gammy. Think you're right we'll never walk without thinking of her being there with us. There are hills we'd planned to do together which are going to be hard though.

I've been meaning to post a comment on this walk report since you first posted it, but have just never got round to it for one reason or another. Now I get the chance to say "congratulations"

An excellent report, not just in terms of the description of the walk or the super photos, but also the memories of your friend There is a lot more that fires our love of the hills than simply putting one foot in front of another, that's for sure.

Beautiful photo of Jack and the bluebells, what a touching tribute to Kath, I clearly remember driving home after climbing Beinn Narnain & Beinn Ime and hearing on the radio about a missing female walker, my heart sank, very sad news indeed.

Thanks Susie. Kath told me about this poem on one of our walks and it was so poignant to hear it for the first time when it was read at her funeral.

Feel cheated of that friendship - there was so much for us still to talk about.
