Skye... Skye... :D The best bits!
I always say that there is more to IOS than just the Cuillin, and in such a lovely weather... the cliffs, the sea, the weird world of Trotternish... It's all simply breathtaking. We have a week off in August and hope to visit the island again...

I remember climbing Blaven in exactly the same conditions, scorching hot... But I admit that I gave up the traverse to S summit, we retraced our steps down. Today I would probably go for it.

sheer magic, dooters - cracking photos and great weather, what more can you ask for ? - yet to get to the Cuillin, would be great if you could order up some good weather for me when I do - cheers :)

Really enjoyed reading that report, especially the non-Blaven Skye excursion bits. Fab pics. :) :) Was also lucky enough to get that same view from The Cuillin Hotel when visiting Portree with my wife 12 years ago. Memories! :D
