"On the other side of Loch Linnhe, a mountain I cannot pronounce the name..." I said to the lady at the Guest House where we were staying, when she asked where we were going to walk... Garbh Bheinn of Ardgour it was (and I still cannot pronounce it :? ).

Weather forecast is not looking good, and it is quite cold at 9:00 AM when we left the Guest House. We are well equiped, and out we go!! At 10:00 AM the walk begins :D

The entire climb is quite boggy... And in some areas, the trail is not easy to follow. I did'nt expect having to use the GPS, but it came in handy in a few tricky places.

The sky is getting darker...

Clouds are low and the first drops of rain are falling...

Veronique was not comfortable climbing one of the rock scrambles, so she climbed around it.

Nice view during a short intermede in the weather...

But it did'nt last very long...

Under a [very] dark sky...

Veronique was tired and decided to wait for me while I try to reach the top. I did'nt quite make it, as the weather was tuning for the worse.

This walk is tough, not because of the elevation or the technical passages, but because is many areas you never have a solid ground under your feet. It's boggy in many places, and the trail [most likely because it's seing much trafic] is not easy to follow. But nevertheless, it's a great walk, and when the sky clears the views are beautiful!

Hi

Glad you enjoyed your walk despite not making the top.

Bearing in mind the heat wave we have at the moment you were a bit unlucky with the weather.

Maybe next time..........................

Another nice one guys, that pic under the really dark sky almost looks like a black and white shot. Doesn't matter if you don't make a summit, you got out there, hiked the hills and enjoyed yourselves that's all that matters :D

You were unlucky weather wise but at least you were prepared for it
