Left Perth at 5am with Stevie and Dave to meet up with Scoob, Fi ,David and Chris at the dam for around 8.The midges were out in force as we were getting the boots on so time for the nets .
Once everyone was geared up it was onwards along the Loch for about 10 minutes before heading up to cross the Alt Mullardoch and the mega steep ascent over ferns and heather, this was one of the toughest parts of the day..

After about 2 hours we arrived on the first summit Carn nan Gobhar it was time for a wee rest and a snack. The weather was holding out so far getting good views down Glen Strathfarrar and over to our next target Sgurr na Lapaich looking a lot bigger this summit.

After some craic food and several photos we got a move on.The going was good on a decent dry path down to beallach and some more shots (great hills these ).The climb up to the second munro was a steep slog but the views over Loch Tuill Bhearnach were stunning so there was a few stops to take it all in .

We arrived on our second and highest munro (1150m) of the day at 1140am and still the views were fantastic .With the forecast for mist and fog for most of the day we were making the most of these conditions some truly amazing scenery :)

On the way to the third of the day we got the reward of a couple mountain goats checking us out on the side of the hills

Just before making our third summit for the day the rain started although was mostly drizzle we decided to get the waterproofs on and just as weel we did as it got heavier and lasted around 3.5 hours.

It was a case of heads down all the way to the final munro of the day as the views were limited and hard to take a decent shot without the lens getting wet.Even after arriving at the final summit we didn't hang around too long, just wanted to get down out the weather.

Coire Mhaim
The walk along the Alt Coire Mhaim was amazing and somewhere I'd like to return in better weather some fantastic wee waterfalls cascading down to the Loch.

Getting down to the Loch the rain was now getting lighter before going off completely (thankfully ).Now the only thing ahead of us was the LONG walk out. It was around 5 miles but it felt twice that ,although the path was a lot better than we thought (was expecting bogs) it was still a tough walk out and took well over 2 hours.

we arrived back at the cars for 7pm after 11 hours of tough walking my feet were in bits and legs felt like lead it was all worth it despite the rain it was another cracking and epic day in some truly stunning hills
