Sun clag and rain and the Loch Laggan 3

Just me and Steve on this one and the ever present jake . Mwis might be correct on this one a lot of low cloud about but still on the warm side. booted and suited and off at 0750hrs . Excellant walking to the parked diggers through the gate and onto the track made good time up to the well photographed loch continued a short way up the track to the start of the stalkers path . For the first time in months looks like its going to be a wee bit wet under foot.
Once you cross the ford and you head up the path their is a small cairn from there you strike up hill for Beinn a Chlachair quite boggy now till you get over the first hill then you make your way around the coirre then its boulder field to the cairn no views just clag and rain got there just after 1130 hrs a short break then trusting my map reading and Stevie using his gps as a check we back tracked till the split in the path and headed down the broad back of the hill to the drop down to the bealach getting views now and again . You then pick up a path which goes around the bottom of Geal Charn and heads up to the bealach in between Charn and Pitridh half way around we struck for the top more bog and boulders once you are on top of the hill you can easily pick up the cairn even in the clag . Got there at 2pm had a wee chat with three other walkers still in the clag we had our lunch break caught a glimpse of the Drummochter hills Chlachair Alder and this yin and that yin and our next target . Just as we were leaving we saw the path we should have taken which made our way to the bealach a lot simplier than going up once down there is a good path that winds its way up the hill to the cairn time just after 3pm typical no clag Got talking to a couple from Conniston Water and had a nice walk down to the ford onto the track where they picked up their bikes at the head of the loch and me and Steve walked back to the car for a can of Aldis finest German pilsner another long and enjoyable day
