Ben Vorlich was our first Munro, done in the snow without the proper equipment, having to punch steps on the way up to the summit! Needless to say we didn't carry on to Stuc a'Chroin. Properly equipped we bagged Stuc a'Chroin late last year. http://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=27311 Having done them separately, I had always wanted to do them together. Inspired by malky_c's report http://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=5381 I set out to get them both in one outing and bag a corbett too.

Having done both routes, I feel the approach from the south east reveals the true character of these Munro's - sweeping ridges, rocky outcrops - definitely my favourite approach. :D

Scramble up Stuc a'Chroin would be interesting in the rain.

Time to suck it up and scramble! We waited to watch this party of 20 scramble up, so that we would know where to start. However, after scrambling over the boulder field we found a decent path that made for a straightforward ascent to the top. Didn't have to use hands too much.

Grassy but wet ridge leading off Stuc a'Chroin.

Back to the car, change of socks & t-shirt, dinner in Dunblane then home to rest!
