Started this from Chapeltown but should really have done my homework and started it from Allanreid as the track we cylced was not the best with a lot of steepish sections. Kim didn't enjoy this outing and neither did i, with the cycle in almost killing Kim before she even started any walking. We cycled to as far as Suie before abandoning the bikes and walking the rest of the way along the track to Corryhabbie Hill. We headed directly for Cooks Cairn from Corryhabbie and then the path and track back to the bikes before the long cycle back to the car. Two hills i will not be repeating.https://plus.google.com/photos/110051255472035874897/photo/5913004867168684770

Sounds like a bit of a nightmare on the bikes JC, looks a bit cloudy on top too but they're done now so no need to return

We did Cook's Cairn from Allanaird in May (walking rather than cycling), I agree this route is wet, but we still enjoyed it... (http://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=31690) The upper track on the slopes of Cook's cairn was one big, boggy river
We had a look inside Suie Lodge - it is falling apart and probably will never be restored, as there is no road access to the building :( Such a shame.
