There cannot be an easier hill than this, ready made for an evening stroll to let the dinner settle down, and on a good clear day the views would be wonderful

Tke the road to Loch an Eilein and go as far as the carpark, after five oclock you can save yourself £1.50

From the carpark head on over to the old bothy building on the right, at the rear you will find a wooden gate, pass through and you will find yourself a choice of three routes, turn back along the fence line on your left and take the middle path which heads on up through the trees zig zagging as it goes, keep a close eye on the path as it is indistinct at times

Looking back to the carpark

In no time you find your looking up at some rock outcrops on your right
24.JPG
Soon the gradient flattens and you can see the summit cairn from quite a distance away
25.JPG
Summit stone and trig point, pity about the haze, though!

Trying to fill up my time I tooka wee wander along the North side of Loch an Eiein, remainds of castle

you're right about the views - they are great for such a wee wander - was up here in summer last year as we were on holiday in the area - the car park attendant warned me about tics so was on the look out the whole time - cheers :)
