I took the exactly the same as youd did off Ben Oss, even passed that wee tree and then a bit of burn jumping back to the track, which was a pleasant walk in after a difficult day up top. Good idea with the mountain bikes too, you could fairly motor down that track on the way back.
I stood looking at the way up Ben Lui you took for 5 mins, looks amazing from down there and it was the only time all day I saw the summit clear. At 1600 walking down the track you could see Ben More, Stob Binnen, Cruach Ardrain and An Caisteal. The view from Allt an Rund is the best for sure, might even look at your route in winter conditions, just the one hill mind! Thanks for sharing your report and nice pictures.

I walked the path and got as far the burn (Raging torrent!!) before the steep bit, two hours of pouring rain and Atlantic gale one Saturday about two months ago. The photos are wonderful and have only a) made me green with envy and b) determined to try again!. Great report, many thanks, Dave (PS. Glad to see the Bull is still friendly )
Pick your day carefully DaveB1 and you'll love it, cheers

Im thinking to going up Ben Lui on Saturday using my Bike then hiking and finally snowboarding down. Is this the easiest route to bike in that you took or is there a better track from the car park at Glen Lochy.
