Revisiting Vorlich (Loch Earn)

It was to have been Ben Challum today, but it ended up being a repeat of a hill that has a great deal of history for me.

Ailsa was staying with her gran in Bothwell for a few days and Debbie fancied getting a (shortish) hill walk in but had to be back home reasonably early to get ready for a girls night out. She seemed wholly unimpressed by my replies to her questions about Challum and instead said that she wanted to climb Ben Vorlich, as she has never done this one and, along with Stuc a'Chroin, it stands out on clear days in the view from the top of our road.

It was a straight up and down on what was a rather warm day for late September. It was also very busy, as I had warned her it was likely to be. We decided against tagging Stuc a'Chroin on too so as to allow us a leisurely return home and a wee stop at the Royal Hotel in Comrie en route.
