Spur of the moment walk up Meikle Bin on Sunday afternoon. This was mainly so I could have a play with my new satnav (bought second hand from ceaser :D ) in a safe environment, on a walk I know like the back of my hand. The low autumnal sun was shining on Stronend and Dunmore filling them with all the colours of Autumn, as I made my way up the usual and now signposted track all the way to the summit. Plenty of other walkers around as it was a good bright day to be out. A strong cold wind on the summit but I found a bit out of the wind and sat for a good 45 minutes having a coffee and admiring the views over to Ben Vorlich/Stuc a Chroin and Ben Lomond all wearing their white caps for the first time this year. The cloud was starting to thicken and I could see the rain falling on the south end of Loch Lomond. Going by the strength of the wind, it would not be long till it was here. Finished my coffee, took a couple of photo's on my phone (apologies for the quality!) and headed back down the route in.

This is a fantastic wee walk if you have a spare afternoon or a bit of kit you want to test out.

Thanks,

/Colin.

I have seen many reports on this hill and despite being fairly local to me I have yet to get up there, I really must try and change that soon!

Really pleased with this. Been looking for one of a long time. Seen your advert so decided to get in there quick before someone else did.

ceaser, how are you getting on with your new satnav?

Must be something about this hill! The first time I climbed it I was 4 and with one of my Aunt's. It would be over 35 years before I would do it again.

How old do I feel !!!! :( :(
