Winter has truly arrived!
A light dusting of snow crowned Ben Eighe when we arrived at the start. A lovely walk up the corrie then onto the wee ridge out to Spidean Corie nan Clach. There was a wee bit of scrambling involved made all the more interesting with the snow but nothing to challenging. Back to the main path and a rocky walk over to the ridge to Ruadh-stac Mor. The weather deteriorated at this point, winds picked up snow came on and a bit of a blizzard ensued.....YAY! Made it to the summit without to much trouble. Headed down the scree slope.....getting better at this! Snow was on pretty heavy passing the Triple Buttress, which just made it look all the more impressive! A fairly long walk out and by this point the snow had turned to rain but not enough to spoil a grand day out :D :D :D Did notice that the amount of snow on the hill on the way out was a lot more substantial than on the way in!

Ben Wyvis would on a normal day be a fairly straightforward hill even with it's reputation for being a bit windy, but it becomes a different kinda place altogether in gale force winds and driving snow/hail. It was one of the most intense physical experiences of my life and that was just trying to stay upright! Himself got blown right off his feet at one point but the stubborn B in me kept me going and we somehow found ourselves at the summit! Just the job of getting back down now!
