Early start me kev and the dog This route as per WH but due to the predicted storm coming in we decided to start early . Up to the lodge 1hr Then took the track up Glen Derry to the wee cairn marking our route up . Up till now it was a pleasant walk in autumn sunshine a wee bit chilly -2 at the start. Wind picked up and brought inthe clag a faint path was followed now and again . But we finally got to the 907 point and with a bearing and into the clag we got to the cairn a quick brew was required .
It was now just after 1030am so we took a northerly bearing then headed off into the wilds a few glimpses of the hills around us B a C came into view and with some nifty foot work frozen ground and peat hag hopping we got to the base of the hill then the wind really picked up and started bringing in the white stuff The weather reports said mid afternoon for the bad weather its 12noon wrong again got onto the ridge and followed it up to the cairn by this time blizzard so much for making plans . No point in hinging aboot took a westerly bearing down to the Lairig an laoigh then onto the path/ river and the long slog back to the Linn . We were walking straight into the snow once we dropped down to the start of the trees rain and this was it till we got back to the carpark time 1630 job done.
This was Kevs first outing to the Gorms my last at this carpark ( kev will probably have something to say about that) . Now back to the Fife Arms for a pint of their finest . A good but a long tiring day.

Yes a good day out, pity we had no energy to drag the camera out with all the snow lying in Glen Derry.
