Just a glorious late autumn day, snow line at final 'hump' blizzard came in as I started it, joined by a lady walker we decided to stick together, approaching final climb to summit had to turn back horizontal hail/snow couldn't see where we were going, 5 minutes back down it cleared so returned for the summit rewarded with glorious views; snow on the ground, blue skies, blue loch with green and gold islands and surroundings, arrochar alps, even the wallace monument I am sure in the distance to the east ..fantastic day with a surreal element as I approached the summit to be met by a dog! then 4 heads popped up from the ptarmigan ridge route 2 of them roped as it had seemingly got quite scary in the blizzard!..met some very nice people, just the sort of day on the hills that brings you back for more..
