Took the £2 bus to the power station, walked on by Ben Vane
Turned up through the woods towards the (NE) ridge to Beinn Ime - never go into the woods unless you know the way
weaved over and around the craigs out of the wind
- Ben Vane
- The Cobbler
At the last craig I went up a steep grassy gully with a wee rock step, it was iced up and gave me an adrenaline fulled few minutes -faint hearted but beyond the point of no return I had no choice. There must be easier ways I've never bothered finding them.
- gully & rock step is on far right
- looking down it
- this one was easier
Then tramped to the top, dark & light, fair gusts of wind, it was all very atmospheric. Then down to catch bus at Arrochar
- 10 mins later ridge I came up
Thats enough for now (the silence replies - who cares?) Winter is here, time for old favourites, reminiscing about The Cobbler again or Central gully or whatever woud be too self-indulgent. I don't write up walks done by car with other people, I don't even write up all walks done alone by public transport, even the ones I do report seem too much. Maybe an interesting winter trek with the tent might be worth posting. Anyway I've had a new camera for months and still not changed the settings or read the instructions, time for me to learn.
