The snow had mostly departed from the Einich area last Sunday with almost spring like conditions at the loch and on the crags above. Out to stretch the legs and to see if I can still manage to get around with the GPS....well to be a bit more prepared prior to the arrival of the nastier weather.
The wee magic tool does not get out much during the summer months when map and compass does the job....oops! map and compass is always in the sack whatever the season.
- The crags at the Sgoran Dubh Beag end of the loch with Robert's Ridge prominent in the image.
- After using the Coire Dhondail path until reaching the first stream high is gained by using the N edge of Coire Bogha-Cloiche.
- Height is rapidly gained with good views out to S Dubh Mor ....some loose rock in places.
After the high ground is reached a descent was made down the spur between Coire an Lochan and Coire Ruadh after reaching the coire floor, of Lochan, there is a wide choice of descents back to the Einich track.
