Just me and Stevie and the ever present Jake. Picked Steve at Lochearnhead and up to the parking area at Auchessan booted and suited and off by 0810hrs .
Over the bridge crossing the Dochart then up to the farm there is a sign post you go lft here thru the side gate and stay on the track over the bridge untill you get past the woods on the left . Then using Creag nan Uan as a marker headed to the left of C nan U and picked up Meall Garbh . Hit the snow at 500m and with the ground frozen we made good time over the peat hags and the small lochans littered over the place
Once you get to Meall Garbh the target comes into view and as typical with corbetts there is alot more dead ground than you think a head of you . With the frozen ground we made to the base of the hill untill I found the only soft spot which resulted in a knee deep soaking which brought a smile to Steves fuzzog . Got to the cairn just after 11am a cold icy wind picked up , all round views a quick photo stop then we made our way back down and just followed the same ish route back down got back to the car at 1250hrs After my past escapades up in the gorms this 10k er was a pleasant break . Thanks to Steve for the company and nearly 5 hrs of blethering nonsence ( not Steve Me )
