A Boxing Day hike around the Cobbler

Time to work off that turkey from yesterday - so we met at Succoth at 07.45 with the intention of heading up the SE ridge.

It was rather gloomy and dreich most the way up the SE ridge and past A n t –Sron. Rain, squelchy snow and moist ground!! When we reached the start of the route the rain had turned to snow, however the temperature was not cold enough to freeze the turf and the route was not in condition. So we headed up and round the summit (no – we didn’t thread the needle today) – we descended down the gully to the south of the tourist tract then headed back on the tourist track past the Narnain boulders – the snow was very deep in places and on more than one occasion I lost my leg down holes – right up ad past my thy too!!!

Back by 14.00 and off home for some more Turkey !!!

Great wee vid! The Cobbler is wonderful in winter.

Makes me feel ashamed that our boxing day walk was a leisurely (hungover) wander around the Greenock Cut!
