Spent Boxing day doing a round of Donalds from Drumelzier where a track then a path leads to the summit of Pykestone Hill. From here a path named Thief's Road takes you to the foot of Dollar Law passed a few cairns from where it's a wee climb to its summit. I returned to the cairns and Thief's Road, leaving the road at Long Grain Knowe for the short walk to Middle Hill and from hear went around Glenstiven Dod before climbing up to the last Donald, Drumelzier Law. I followed the ridge down over Logan Head and Finglen Rig and picking up the track back to the start.

Nice route. I was on summit of Drumelzier Law at 1.30pm on boxing day but dropped off down to Drumelzier Burn and back out that way. I had done the others last year and wasn't bothered about doing again in the clag.

Must have been your footprints i saw, i was on the summit around 3pm. When i passed the Pheasant shooting party at the start one said there was a walker ahead of me in a red jacket but never saw a soul after that.

Glad to see you got to Drumelzier in the end JC. I really enjoyed this walk and Dollar Law was my pick of the day, though I did have clear skies that day too. Still, some lovely atmospheric photos you've got there

Nice one JC - that looked an enjoyable wander. Have to admit to taking the easy option - looked out the window and just stayed in  - now starting to get itchy feet - cheers :)
